Transfer Case bolts shearing off
I have a 2015 Jeep Cherokee Limited 4x4 that seems to have issues with the transfer case. I got it in 2016 used with 22,00 miles on it, i have done no off-roading or anything of that sort so I'm confused as to how all the bolts holding the transfer case could break. The mechanic said it would be $7500 to fix,

$7500? wtf? did it break the casing on the transfer case or transmission? i'm not familiar with the new cherokees yet, but on our old jeeps the bolts are double threaded studs that thread into the transmission so the transfer case can slide on those, and is held on with nuts on the other threaded ends of the studs. so unless your casing snapped, i'm at a loss as to how they could come up with $7500 bux.
i would get a reputable shop, possibly one that is familiar with jeeps, and have another opinion.

Honestly, take it to a dealer. Have them diagnose the problem and see what they say. That sounds really high, unless he is replacing the transfer case and perhaps transmission, with OEM parts from the dealer, at retail, then adding his markup.
