In a nutshell, it's not a Fiat engine as many assume.

It's a WGE, World Gas Engine, developed jointly by Chrysler, Hyundai, and Mitsubishi.

The KL and Dart engines have the Multi-Air intake system and some other advancements developed by Fiat, hence the higher horsepower and torque outputs than others.

It gets us where we want to go with power to spare.

I had the 2.0 in my Dart. It improved with age. The thing was a rocket.

The world engines are not bad at all. I have seen very few problems with them. They have been used for years in the compass and caliber.

We loved the Dart but traded it for the Cherokee. We missed the higher ride of a Jeep.

The Dart was a pleasure to drive. It handles like a sports car and really grips the road while cornering and on twisting roads. Comfortable, quiet interior. Good power and MPG. Decent cargo area and more with rear seats folder forward.
