I have a 2016 Jeep cherokee, as of this morning the liftgate won't open, when the button is pressed there is 2 beeps and nothing happens????

 

You don't say which button was pressed, FOB, dash or lift gate bottom edge. Try pushing bottom edge lift gate button and pulling up at same time, see if that releases it. This happened to me once, I lubed the lock mechanism with Lithium White Grease and it never happen again.

 

I've tried them all and nothing, but I'll take it in Monday and get it looked at.

 

Does it open manually?

 

Try resetting the fuse. The link takes you to photos and step-by-step directions I used to fix mine. Should take only a few minutes.
