Anybody know when you change your own oil instead of the dealer where you can go to document the mileage and date for warranty purposes. Like a website?

Also keep the receipts for the oil and filter. While catastrophic engine failures in the warranty period are rare these days, if you do have one they will likely fight you all the way and you will need to present proof the maintenance was done if anyone besides the dealer does it (exceptionally difficult if you do the work yourself). For this reason I usually have all maintenance done by the dealer even though it costs a little more until it is out of the warranty, that way they can't claim it wasn't done or I screwed up something.
This happened with the infamous 2.7L V6 sludge monsters, if one failed in the warranty period and the owner hadn't had all the maintenance done at the dealer at the prescribed intervals they would fight tooth and nail to deny the claim and blame it on the customer for improper maintenance even though they knew the engine had a design flaw.
