New 2015 Cherokee Owner
Hello everyone! My wife and I recently purchased our new 2015 Cherokee Limited 2.4L FWD. We traded in her 2008 Jeep Liberty and this is her new daily driver. We love the vehicle so far and have just over 100 miles clocked in. Hope to learn a lot from this community! Is there anything I should know? Any recalls or software updates to be aware of? Everything seems great so far, thanks!

Welcome. I'm still very excited about mine, and I've had it about a year-and-a-half.
There are two recalls at least you need to be aware of, if they haven't been addressed in your vehicle:
1. Security recall. As you'll see from looking around this forum, a security group has demonstrated the ability to "take over" and interfere with Cherokees via their wireless access point. The security recall addresses this and provides quite a few other upgrades to the nav/entertainments system. I have seen a definite improvement in mine in terms of responsiveness.
2. Side air bag recall. Not that you're taking your expensive ride off road and into high rocks, but significant rocking of the vehicle from side-to-side could potentially trigger the air bags due to the sensitivity threshold being off. The recall addresses this. Not as important as the first, but I gather it's a quick fix.
These could have already been addressed by your dealer, contact them to confirm. If not, get them done.
One more thing: as you'll pick up from reading this forum, your transmission can be interesting for the first couple of weeks. It goes into a "learning mode," in which it studies your driving habits, and then programs your transmission to learn. As a few of us will tell you, push your machine. You might see some delay, hesitation, or sleepiness from your transmission. Just hit the gas, let the engine rev, and it'll learn. In a couple of days, this will go away and your machine will do its best to match your driving style. Mine did very well, but folks here warned me in advance of this.

Looking at any recalls for my car and found that they were done about a month prior to me owning it. Connect is also up to date. So far so good.
