HID Replacement D3S
Has anyone changed their HID lights? This is my 2nd headlight to blow - the first was when I was still under warranty. The dealer wants $700!!!!! This is crazy. New bulb retail is $150....
How hard is this to replace? Thanks!

I just bought 2 bulbs to have since you can't get HID's just anywhere.
They were only $70 a pair online.
Also, read that you have to go at them from the wheel well.
I guess I'll find out some day. I have the bulbs in the glove box.

Expensive but a very good factory replacement.
If you have a 2014 there is an access panel in the wheel well.
2015 and above just remove 3 screws and pull back the fender liner

I've replaced the passenger side on my 2014. The panel in the wheel well is a joke. I easily went from the top through the engine compartment but removing the air filter, and then pulling up on the filter holder and removing that. It's just held on via a push pull system. just pull up. Once it is off, super easy access to the passenger side HID! Don't even bother with the wheel well panel....waste of time and difficult access.
