Default Dash Cam install

Hello, have a 2022 Jeep Cherokee Limited. Have watched several You Tube videos and a few forums without any usable help. Trying to HARDWIRE a dash cam with parking mode. There are several threads with the same issue but the funny thing is that there doesn't seem to be a solution that I understand. Am mechanically illiterate and can do the work just don't understand most of the terms.
Since 2014-2022 Jeep Cherokee, the fuse box that is inside the driver dash area, there are only CONSTANT fuses, there is not an ACC (switched) fuse. I have had people say to run through firewall to engine compartment fuse box but without actually showing/explaining how to do that, there does not seem to be an opening, i.e FIREWALL. Some have stated to use one of 3 12v somethings two of which are constant and one is ACC (switched) without explanation as to what the 3 12v things are or where they are located.
So, I have to HARDWIRE the dash cam for the parking mode to work, I need a CONSTANT fuse and a SWITCH (ACC) fuse and of course the ground which I understand how to install. Right now I have both the B+ (battery) wire and the ACC wire from the dash cam into CONSTANT fuses but it stays on constantly which will of course drain my battery. I have read that on the Jeep Cherokee, some of the fuses in the driver dash area are constant they are also on what is termed a relay with that will go off after 30 minutes which I apparently am using a CONSTANT switch in the fuse box that is using that really as my Dash Cam does go off after about 30 minutes. But everything I read still says that is not the correct way to install. I DO NOT want to use the cigarette lighter plug in because the PARKING MODE will not work without the HARDWIRE install. So, apparently there is a way to route the wires through the firewall to the engine box fuses which no one seems to be able to tell me how and I can't find a way inside the car or there are apparently some avenues of connecting the ACC (switched) fuse to something under the console but that is the part I can't seem to find any pertinent info on.
Any help with pics and details would be greatly appreciated, remember, I am not an auto guy, I do not know the terms or fuses or 12v whatever's but if someone can show me I can do it.
Thanks in advance

The firewall method will probably be a pain in the *** but essentially you're looking for the wiring loom that runs from the engine bay into the cabin, probably easier to see it on the engine side to know where to look in the cabin. It's usually all weather sealed so you'd have to ensure its integrity if you do go that route. I have a dashcam with parking mode and personally it's all wired to the fuse box near the steering wheel. If you have a multimeter you can just test which fuses have constant current vs ACC only, this is what I did and my dash cam has been working as intended. You can even decrease that 30 minute timer in the cars settings if you want it to change to parking mode earlier (I think down to 5 or 10 minutes). The idea is that when your car is on the dash cam is on and then when you switch it off there will be a delay before it goes into parking mode. As for what fuses to use, based on memory I think the ACC I tapped into was for the parking lights or headlights if I recall correctly as they only receive current when the car is turned on. You should be able to find a fuse diagram but wont tell you if constant voltage or not, probably worth running an additional fuse in parallel too if you want to protect your dashcam and its draw current is lower than that of the rated fuse you're tapping into.

Good Day, Say what route did you decide to go with regarding the wiring for your dash cam I have the same conundrum on my 23 jeep cherokee.
Thanks for your reply.

under the drivers side carpet, there is a rubber grommet that you can remove or put a hole through it to run a cable. I used it to run a wire for my switch to turn off/on my light bar.

as to the original post, you need a relay. think about it as your headlights, there is always power going to them, but they won't turn on until you turn the switch. so after you install the relay I'm assuming you will need to tap into the ignition wire, so that the dash cam can turn on automatically when you turn the vehicle on.
