Cherokee Trailhawk Buying advice?
Hi I am looking to purchase a used Cherokee trailhawk of the KL variety. Looking to keep budget at or below 15K. I was wondering if this lovely group would have any advice as to what to look for.
A couple questions I have are as follow.
How do I confirm it has the tow package?
Are there certain golden years?
Signs on the car to no buy?
Thanks in advance!

You can run the build sheet on Jeep's website: https://www.jeep.com/webselfservice/...etServlet?vin=
Input the VIN directly (make sure the letters are ALL capital letters... it's case-sensitive) after the = sign with NO space after the = sign
Do the same here to see the original window sticker:https://www.chrysler.com/hostd/windo...kerPdf.do?vin=
Both of these will tell you EVERY option the Jeep is equipped with. I'd stay away from the earlier models, as they can sometimes have transmission issues. I'd also go with the 3.2L Pentastar V6 engine vs. the 2.0T I4 in 2019+ models OR the standard 2.4L I4. Especially if you're planning to tow, the 3.2L V6 will give you the highest towing capacity. If you're seeking Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, the 2019+ models are the ones to go with (although you CAN swap the newer infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto into a 2014-18 Cherokee KL if you get it programmed and flashed to the ECU in the vehicle). It's also difficult to find speakers that fit in the Cherokee KL's, so I'd also go with the Alpine premium sound system (there will be a subwoofer in the rear cargo area, and you can also find out by the VIN if one has it or not... it doesn't come standard on the Trailhawk, even though they ALL have the 8.4" touchscreen as standard equipment... nav is also optional). Trailhawks are pretty common and easy to find, so you'll be sure to find one that meets your needs.

You said its possible to put a 2019 system into a 2018 Cherokee. Have you done this? Is it plug and play? I'd love to have Apple Carplay in my car.
Thanks a lot.
