2021 Jeep Cherokee inquiries
I've notice that my Jeep 1. when I go to take off makes a clinking sound and I did the search and looked at the answers that you guys had but none of them were pertaining to a brand new brand spanking new Jeep so I don't know what the problem could be I did notice that there was a recall but it says that mine is not one of the ones being recalled. 2. My Jeep died right in the middle of the road and it said starter protection mode and for me to wait 21 seconds does anybody know what that is cuz I've googled the crap out of it and I still can't find an answer.

Doesn't a brand new brand spanking new Jeep come with a brand new brand spanking new Jeep warranty?
If it's a 2014+ Cherokee, try https://www.cherokeeforum.com/f87/
If it's a 2005+ GRAND Cherokee, try https://www.cherokeeforum.com/f5/
X2 on calling the dealer.

No worries. Sometimes people forget these forums are here to help people, and get a bit snippy when someone new doesn't realize there are different forums for the different generations of Cherokees and Grand Cherokees. (To be fair a tough technical question on a Grand Cherokee has a better chance of getting a good answer in the regular Cherokee forum....)

With your Jeep being so "new", I would take it to the dealer for warranty work. If you google "xxxxxx protection mode" it brings up the replacing the second starter battery, which from what I have heard is not a cheap fix. - Good Luck
