Default 2021 Cherokee wheel question

Longtime original Comanche owner (since 1989), and new Cherokee owner (2021 Latitude Lux). Unfortunately, my car tech knowledge is not only shallow, it does not cover a wide field, so I apologize if my question is at all confusing. I bought a new Cherokee right before winter, and I had the same size snow tires put on the vehicle (225 65 R 17). Rather than taking the tires on and off the same set of wheels each season, I now want to buy another set of wheels specifically for the snow tires. The Cherokee currently has 17 by 7 inch wheels and 225 65 R17 tires, and I have have a chance to purchase a new set of beautiful diamond cut wheels off of a 2021 Cherokee Trailhawk for just about the same price as the standard black rims. The wheels from the Cherokee Trailhawk are 17 by 7.5 inch, and I was wondering if there is a downside to purchasing them? Is the slightly larger wheel likely to fit? Will it change handling or steering? Thanks for any insight.

Hi Mike,

I don't believe that it will cause much of a problem, but you'll want to make sure your snow tires don't have a 'DO NOT MOUNT ON 17" X 7.5" WHEEL" on them. If they do, then I wouldn't get the 17" x 7.5" wheels.

Vince,
Thanks for the response. I checked the tires, and the only restriction is that it must go on a 17 inch wheel--no limits on width mentioned.

I'd say those wheels are a good deal then... the Trailhawk wheels DEFINITELY look more aggressive.
