yea it filled up in like 3 hours supposedly...total BS...but whatever

looks like Assateague is a per year pass - $90/year for MD/VA and takes 3 weeks to get the passes by mail. The ****ty part is only 145 vehicles can be on the beach at once so even if we get it we may be waiting a bit. If we are going to do it we need to send in the form and money soon.

This lists everything, including the required equipment. I'm gonna call about getting a form sent

you can buy the pass at the ranger station when you get there. also make sure the OSV trail is not restricted or you will be seriously disappointed. only the first 5km are open at the moment due to migrating birds taking over the island. the rangers told me last week that they are anticipating reopening the rest of the beach by the beginning of august but it's iffy.
FYI to all reading this, the rangers have been cracking down on people back there this year, if the nps requires that you have it in your vehicle, you had better have it. no warnings and a huge fine.

Sweet! We'll all have to have a CF M&G while we're there, and you can take us to the spot
