I just had the fuel pump assembly in my 01 XJ changed out and I'm glad I did. Very dirty fuel coming out of the filter/regulator unit. 18 years and still going!! So I'm not counting on the Delphi pump unit lasting that long after the technician who changed the pump didn't clean out the tank. I have all the parts to rebuild the assembly, however there is a part that connects between the pump and the regulator. It's a stainless tube with rubber inside. Any ideas on finding that particular part or replacing? It's not shown on the pump assembly drawing. Could possibly replace with a section of rubber hose.
