Wildkat here
Just thought I'd register and say hi - been getting as much info as I can from the site since my husband and I bought a 1996 Cherokee out of NC. It does not run at the moment but hubby is a mechanic and is chasing down what seems to be the problem (right now he is leaning towards the computer)
Oh and if anyone has a downloadable Owners manual I would appreciate it - I have found one for nearly every year and model except for mine! LOL
Looking forward to getting it running - we intend to use it on our paper route this winter...there has not been a Jeep in our family since my father owned a Jeep truck in the 70's

Welcome,
1996 is a change-over year. You likely have a mix of '95 and '97 parts. Hence the no manual for 96. You will need the 95 and 97 manuals.
I will PM you a link for the FSM field service manual. Pre- 97.
Have you posted the 'no run' issue? We may be able to help.

thank you again!!! Hubby has been trying to work on the jeep in between his two jobs....he believes he has tracked it down to control circuits in the pcm....we shall see---although this is the first jeep we have owned he works on them quite often
