Transmission Solenoid
I have a 1999 Jeep Cherokee, it is tripping the code P0751, a transmission solenoid. Any one have any idea if this is a hard item to replace. I see it cost over $200, but I am looking at doing the work myself. Any ideas or hints on this job? Thanks

shift solenoids, there should be i think three of them.
they're only about 60 bux each, and easy to change yourself.
grab a new filter/gasket and tranny fluid also.
here's a good write up on replacing them.

I'm having fits with my transmission solenoid issue. I have an 04 WJ JGC. It's a 4.7, 4x4 V8, 5-45 RFE. I ordered a new solenoid and the one sent to me is slightly different (different adaptor plate). It's a new OEM updated solenoid. The vendor worked well with me and after serious consulting and researching he insists that the updated solenoid is the only new OEM item for my transmission. Does anyone have any insight into the new solenoid block for this transmission?
