Default Total Newb here from Kansas

Ok, I finally decided to take the plunge and sign up for some points and help on my rig. This is the first site I have found that has a section just for the xj cherokee and I love it! I bought my 96 4x4 sport il6 4.0 in 2000. It only has 68000 miles on it as of today! Totally stock, and thats why Im here, I was going to try to buy a 2001 limited fully loaded and give this cherry to my 16 yr old stepdaughter, but couldnt get the loan. So I decided to do a few mods to this one. I live in Kansas and dont see alot of rock or hill climbing, but would like to lift it a bit and get some sort of offroad suspension to handle some mudding and mild fun for when I go to Colorado or Arkansas. Its my daily driver, so I still want it smooth in town and on the highway, but be ballsy enough to take on some fun.
This is where I show my 'dumb card'. I know nothing about offroad kits and lifts and the right size tires and if or how to cut fender wells, shocks,struts,gearing...any of that. (insert newbie razzing jokes here).
Any help, links, brand names, does and donts, name calling,teasing... would be great. I read a few of the posts already on lifts, but know nothing about it still.
Hopefully with time, I will get to know alot of you and get my stock baby a new set of 'twig and berries'.

heres a link to my old baby and my new one:

Thanks
Ed

You need to look in the Regional Section or start a new thread. This one is nearly 3 years old and Ed hasn't been on since 2-'08.
