Hey all, excited to be here. I just bought a 98 XJ sight unseen (yeah, I'm off my meds). I pick it up on Friday.

I have been wanting a 4wd for years and have had a 'how-to' book for XJs for some time, as they seemed the most cost-effective method to get into it. Plus, I am originally from Toledo.

I look forward to looking at mods here, as I slowly build mine up. I think besides removing the rear anti-sway bar, I'm going to look into a set of bumpers. Not a super enhancing item, but I likely will not be replacing them either, even as my project 'grows'.

Oh yeah, about me - retired from Army, now a gov't contractor, married, kids, etc. Living in Hampton Roads, Virginia. I also like travel, shooting, and sailing.
