Exclamation Stock in desprate need of lift!!!

I just bought my XJ limited about three months ago and i absolutlely love it! the only problem is that it looks like a grocery getter with its small tires and no lift, i was considering getting A Rustys 4 1/2 sping pack for it bc all the rides ive looked at with this lift look high and even, any its moderatley priced for a college student like myself. Anyone have any though on any other lifts????

your going to have to get and sye and new driveshaft and there a bit pricey as well if you on a budget....you can use a stock front driveshaft from the JY tho

Been there. Waited almost 2 years before I got my lift and other doodads. Now I'm trying to figure out how to get rims and 33's. Enough of me. Welcome from CT

Check out my threads on IRO. anything over 4 inch you will need a SYE. you can pick one up through IRO for $200 with a driveline. Its a little work so make sure you have the tools if your doing it yourself.

With your 2001 you will need an sye at anything over 3 inchs and possibly even at 3 inch though you could maybe get away with a t/case drop JUst be ready for that stuff,I know your a poor college kid with lift kits you get what you pay for so buy a good one and you will only buy it once. good luck

welcome! rusty's is a great ride! do not get rough country, horrible bushings, HORRIBLE HORRIBLE ride. i have personal experience with them both.

we stuck a 4.5" RC lift on a 4door auto 2001. Did a tcase drop and there is no driveline vibe.

i run 6.5" in the rear and i have no tcase drop, stock drive shaft and no shims and i have ZERO vibes and my leaf pack made my pinion angle fine.

every jeep is different

Rusty's offers a full package. its pretty complete. just make sure you get brake lines too. you can get some chevy truck lines that bolt right in and are 28" total length for $30 a pair.
