So, after a good year of deciding what to buy as our off-road surf fishing BEACH mobile, we settled on a Jeep Cherokee. But then, life happens, DH is diagnosed with Angiosarcoma (a rare cancer affecting just over 100 people/year) in July, and by October he's passed. September we bought the jeep and got our one and only beach trip in it before he died.

So, I sold his car (an '04 Dodge SRT-4) to get rid of a car payment and now the jeep is "mine".

I'm enjoying my new ride...not enjoying my new life but I don't have a choice. I'd like to continue to keep it a beach mobile, especially since I dropped $120 on the over sand vehicle pass at Assateague Island, Maryland.

Hi. I'm Bren, 24 yo widow from Lancaster, Pennsylvania and the proud new owner of a 99 Jeep Cherokee Sport with 120k on it, and a rebuilt engine. I'm about to get some new tires on it that'll be good for light off road terrain, sand, and snow...general grabber at2's I think it what I have settled on. I'm going to attempt to fix these rust spots on my own and make this baby my own.

I've been into auto's for a long time, but somehow got stuck on Saturns for the past 8 years. (I worked for them here and Lancaster and did PR for the local saturn tuner group for a number of years). So, I have officially switched gears and want to get involved in the Jeep community. I am SURROUNDED by Jeeps. My BIL drives a wrangler, and several of his close friends are jeepers as well. It'll be fun to try and keep up with them.

I've always been one of "the guys" and fit in well in the auto community, so hello! Thanks for the great advice I've seen already.

Ask whatever you want, all of us here on CF will try to help as much as we can (although, we do seem to have our sm*rt-*ss moods, but it's all in fun)...
