Default So new!

So new that I do not have a Cherokee yet, but I'm looking at a few. Got my choices down to two at the moment. One is a 92 Laredo with about 160000 miles. It has new paint, solid body, good tires and is 2 wheel drive. The other is a 2000 Laredo with 108000 miles. Again body is solid good tires 4x4. Paint is not bad but has a couple places on the hood where the clearcoat has broken down.
Hope to decide by Tuesday and get it bought.

Get a 4x4. You will regret it if you don't.

In my personal opinion, a 2 wheel drive Cherokee is a glorified station wagon that gets really bad mpg. Get the 4x4, you'll have more fun in it.

So now I added a 97 Cherokee 4x4 to the list. Actually a bit less expensive too. Has about 150k miles, auto, ps, pb, cruise. Body looks good from the pics I have seen and a lot of new parts including a rebuilt head, all new ac parts. Priced at 2500 but his ad says make me an offer. Gonna try to go see it tomorrow or Wednesday.

Well I bought one today. Its a 98 Grand Cherokee Limited with 111xxx miles. Of course it 4 wd. Gonna need to do some work on the interior like replacing the headliner, having the seat bottoms for the front seats redone and trying to find or repair the driver side door panel. Everything works and it runs really well. Has the 318 v8 in it. Outside is in very good shape, it was painted about three years ago. Has big tires, i think 31's but I will take them back to stock tires and try to let someone get a great deal on these. I am sure I will be here for some questions in the near future.

Congrats on getting a Jeep. I had a '97 ZJ, and still have an '04 WJ (ZJ and WJ are Grand Cherokees). Post some pics if possible.

Watch yourself with the '97, it was the transition year and they had some serious wiring issues, factory service manuals show 3 major wiring harness changes all within that one model year. I personally drive a late '97 every day and love it, im just saying if you go with a '97 be sure its a late production

So today
I scored a set of jeep ICON wheels in as new shape and have ordered a set of Nexen Rodian HT tires for them.
Gonna sell the 265/75/16 tires and stock wheels. The 265's are Hankook Dynapro ATM
Any ideas what I should ask for them? The wheels are nothing to brag about but would be fine foe mudding. The tires have about 1/2 tread left on them.
