Deep Amethyst Pearl, I had a chance at a 98 in that color. It was rusted to **** though.

 

Damn that's too bad. Definitely one of my favs. I've been tossing around the idea of painting mine omaha orange. But then again, I like to squeeze down some tight *** trails. My original emerald green is sun faded to **** on the hood and roof. I gotta do something before it starts rustin!

 

Luckily my paint is in really good condition. My XJ has only been modified for about 8 months. Before November 2015 it's was stock. I'm guessing the PO kept it in a garage. Still has a patch of rust on rear quarter panel underneath bumper end cap. I guess I will hack it off one of these days.

 

ah yes I remember those days. My jeep (along with the paint) was mint when I bought it almost 5 years ago. 50k miles, she was garage kept with up-to-date maintenance records. A little over 20K miles later and doing more sitting than driving, baked the clear coat right off of it. Wish I at least put a cover over her. Hindsight is always 20/20 though. A few Rausch Creek trips and a bad spotter caused me to crush the passenger rocker too. My buddies are always breaking my ***** about how clean my XJ. I would detail this thing and the paint looked like glass. Now i just want to push it to it's limit when wheeling! Looks don't matter that much to me anymore

 

I'm a service tech and I have my own van that I take so it will probably see less than 3K a year. I like to keep my stuff nice, maybe some day I will get to your level of not giving a hoot. LOL.
