Road racing xj under construction
He guys, I joined a few months back, and looked back to February, and didn't find an intro post by me, so here goes.
My name is Sabrina, "Brie" for short. I'm 61, and retired Army, an active pilot, and owner of a 1990 Wrangler, and a 1987 XJ Laredo. I am turning the XJ into a ChumpCar racer. I was in the process of building a 4.5 liter stroker motor to put into the XJ, but the YJ started blowing bubbles into the cooling system, so the stroker motor will go there.
Because we can use any motor that we get out of a junkyard in ChumpCar racing, (Endurance Road Racing in 500 dollar junkyard cars for charity), I decided to go BIG with the power, and got an aluminum block V-8 out of a Rover to stick into the XJ.
I sure hope that I am still welcome here after doing that, and lowering the car to where it has 4 inches of ground clearance on a really stiff suspension.

Welcome aboard!!! I wanna see the end result. (pics & / or vids) At least you are not putting an ugly bodykit or dropping it just to be cool.

Morning guys and Happy Memorial Day. I am taking photos of the transformaton, as it progresses, and as soon as all the parts are in place, I will load the entire group of photos up together, so that the progress is documented chronologicly. Brie
