What's up? My name is John and I'm from cincinnati. Not like the crappy show that was on HBO, but the real thing. I have been driving vw's for all of my life (old slow busses) but I just picked up a 2000 xj. This is my first time not driving a german made car. I don't know much about jeeps but am loving not having to work on it every time I get home from a trip. To tell you the truth I have done most of the work on it but it's been nothing more then oil changes. My sister picked it up back in 2000 and has been driving ever since. It has just under 80,000 miles and has never been driven hard in that amount of time. she told me that she only put in in 4x4 4 times in the last eight years...and that was just to get up her drive in the snow. Some of the things that make my xj just a little different then others that I see around is that mine is a two door. I don't know if they are common in other parts of the world but in cincy you don't see many. The other thing that is a little strange is that it's a 4cyl. I thought that all xj's were 6cyl but I guess I was wrong. It's also a 5 speed. I don't know what more I can say about myself or the xj but I'll try to figure out how to post pic's and show you my little jeep...who in time will get a lift
