Hey guys, glad to be apart of the forum! Names Cole, and just bought a XJ after a few mishaps with getting a little too overzealous in taking the 2012 gmc out lol (broke a axle, and a intake rocker arm) Puddles is the name that was given to the XJ by a buddy of mine who noticed the gas tank was melted from the front passenger clear back to the end of it. From what I can tell the previous owner swapped the exhausts and wasn't paying attention and melted the tank... i.e. first expense of the XJ!
This is what I found when I pulled the gas tank! Morale of the story is to check the gas tank when you buy a used vehicle haha. Good thing it's only a $60 fix at your local junk yard.
