Talking Proud? New owner of a 1990 XJ

Well I just bought a 1990 Cherokee Laredo for better or worse. My inaugural experience was fixing a leaking fuel filter, loose steering column, and busted upper bearing while also refinishing the absolutely trashed steering wheel by stripping it to metal, tearing off the fabric, painting it black and wrapping it with brown paracord. Now all I need to do is fix the front door brackets that are tearing from the body, fix the locks that don't seem to work, refabric the torn, nasty drooping headliner, and figure out why the shifter doesnt lock into place. And clean the dickens out of it since the last owner seemed to draw power directly from the mass of nearby dirt particles.

So all in all 10/10 experience would recommend to a friend.

Cool Here come the pictures!!!!!

Column teardown

Nasty old steering wheel

This door hates its life

This is jank

also jank

headliner has better places to be than the ceiling apparently

it did come with an extra set of wheels/tires in fair shape, including the spare so thats nice

rough and dirty interior...

...but very intact, only a couple rips in the driver seat i will be patching very soon.

There she is. Mostly good body, but the right headlight dont work and the trim around it is broken. I will be blacking all the chrome.
