Default Potential New from TN ,pretty much confused and need help :)

Hi fellas,

I think it's time for me to own a Jeep coz i have always wanted to, found a guy who has 94 sport 4d

pros: 4wd,159k miles(not the highest i have seen on jeeps odometer :P) ,4.0 v6,off road package,towing package,roof rack ,ac,auto trans,tires are excellent ,one owner

cons:some of the clear coat is coming off 2 spots on the roof just above the windshield and kinda noticeable ,headliner has been torn in one spot (he said one of his kids did that by a razor )

another thing that i don't know if it's a pro or con lol is he has never done any repairs or ANYTHING other than fluid changes

KBB value for good condition is 2700 which is what he asking

What you all think ,any input appreciated

Thanks in advance

Azeem

headliners are a problem on older vehicles. You might be able to stitch it back together with a curved needle, or replace the fabric altogether. I think there's a writeup or 2 about doing that. I wouldn't make or break a deal because of it.

As far as repairs go, it depends on whether it needed any. Preventative maintenance can go a loooooong way to prevent actual repairs.

Where are you located in TN? If you are on the western end, then I know a LOT of knowlegeable people who can check it out for you, or I might know the Jeep itself.

Thanks alot ZeeJay95,Actually i'm from Knoxville,East TN and I'm buying the Jeep from a private seller ,he sounds like he takes care of his vehicles but no body knows ,anyway he said a guy estimated headliner repair for $ 100?? ,to be honest with you i hardly know nothing about mechanic work .

i know a mechanic that i will mostly take it to to run a check but i'm concerned more about is this price fair regarding he arranged some payment plan for me on 7 months to pay the rest completely off .what do you think ?
