hello from Utah! well i bought my first jeep ever about a week ago. iv always wanted one but never really had to get one but now that i live in utah i need something that will do better in the snow than my 2wd silverado. So the jeep is going to be my daily driver and to ill use it to do some camping and hopefully hit a few trails too The jeep is a 1993 cherokee country i bought it with 190,000 miles so i thinking of either rebuilding the motor or just dropping in another one with less miles. so far the jeep seems to have been well taken care of but ill still be doing a full tune up next weekend. The guy i bought it from said it has a 6 inch lift but i haven't been able to find the name of the lift or a model number of some sort. The tires are trail cutter 285/75/16 which i plan on replacing with some BFG mudders for better traction in the snow and mud
So far the only thing wrong with it are the door locks(they seem to lack the power to lock and unlock). my transfer case is dripping some oil and my oil pan is dripping oil other than that i think i got a pretty decent DD for 2 grand. it needs some work but thats alright with me.
Well hopefully i can learn a lot from you guys while im here and now here are some pics.
and can anyone tell me what kind of lift this is?

Welcome... unless you are having a problem with the engine you may be able to get quite a bit more mileage out of it. Of course this depends on prior maintenance which is most likely unknown. Good looking XJ though..

Nice find for $2k as long as the floors and rockers aren't rusted away! I would say just do a tune up on the motor and plan for it to run forever
I like the truck too, those stepsides alway looked pretty good, and the drop with the late model stock 20s give it a clean look!
Its gotta be pretty quick, my dad has a 06 Crewcab 1500 4X4 with the 5.3 and just a flowmaster exhaust on it, and you can easily smoke the tires, he wants to an intake and possible other mods, but its his winter/tow rig.

thanks for the welcome guys. i drove the Jeep in the snow today and i don't regret getting it at all! i love it
the prior maintenance is what worries me. the guy i bought it from bought it for his son and the son didn't want it so he only had it for 4 months. he didn't do a tune up just and oil change and replaced the radiator.
yea your right the chevy trucks move
i like it it gets me the rush i need but i also haul with it so its not all show
