Default Oil pressure

Got a 2000 Cherokee sport I picked up for 500$ since it had been parked for a couple years, put plugs, wires and a brake line in and it was ready for the road. Only problem I have is that after a long drive the oil pressure drops off, if I keep the rpms around 1000 it holds at like 10 psi and when I begin driving it goes up to like 35 and stays there. Is my pump bad or just a worn engine??

Welcome to CF. Sounds like a typical worn engine. Install a mechanical oil pressure gauge on it at the sending unit to verify actual pressure.
