Northern B.C. guy on the hunt for a new project!
Hey guys, I'm new to the forum but not jeeps. I had a stock 95 grande cherokee 4L for many yrs as a daily and regretted selling it as soon as they drove away. I just sold an 07 wrangler unlimited because of a life re-boot after my deevorce.
Now I need a good (cheap) vehicle to drive down the province to get my kids when it's my time with them and a 4L cherokee is on the top of my list!
I think I'll build one I can have a little fun with in the peace country mud but still hit the highway with.
I'm also a chopper nut and love my 75 rigid shovelhead, I play with vintage tractors, trucks, gassers, own a heating company and play stand-up bass in a country band. lol
Anyways, glad to be here and if anyone's coming through Pouce stop in for a beer, my shop is right on the highway!

Got myself a free one and I'm not even in town! A high mile 93 ZJ with a 4L like my old one, it's not shifting from 2nd to 3rd very well so when I get her next week I'll do the tv cable adjustment and other tips I found on this forum and hope for the best, if that fails I'll grab one from the wrecker. I'd like a moderate lift and tires but I'll use whatever I find for cheap.

Hey, Nice original Introduction.
Glad you found something to sort your needs, welcome from here in England.
Now I will have to google Pouce to see where you are, that's a new name of a place not heard of.
Enjoy your new purchase.

Great find. The '93 4.0L ZJs used the same AW4 trans as the XJ until sometime late in the year, when they switched over to the 42RE. So if it's in need of a trans swap that's a big plus if it has the AW4.

That's good to hear! Is that cause the xj trans are cheaper? I'm expecting to have to change it so that would be good!
I'm travelling right now so I can only do research on this damn iphone, kind of a pain.
