Hello all...well I am brand new to Jeeps, I had a tacoma before toyota crushed it and gave me a big check so I made up my mind and purchased my first XJ last night. After looking for about 2 months I found a 2000 4x4 4dr sport with under 100k.
I am looking to put my old 31x10.5 BFGs on soon but am not sure how to go about it yet, lift or not...I don't know too much yet but am trying to read all I can right now. Any suggestions I'm all for it, I should be changing all fluids and normal maintenance as soon as I get it on the road, if there is anything else let me know...and thx in advance!

Thanks guys, I'm in coventry.. I was looking at some 3" kits, the rough country fit my budget but how are they compared to others? I am looking to get some 15x8 wheels too, any of you guys know local shops or online? I was thinking of trying the lift install myself but don't have too many tools, what am I looking at for the install and is it worth going to someone with some experience..

it depends on your mechanical ability. it can be done with basic hand tools. of course air tools make it easier. u will more than likely need a torch to heat up stubborn bolts. odds are ur gunna break some bolts so u will have to be prepared to deal with that. it would be beneficial to have someone that knows what there doing around but if ur good with ur hands its not nesicary. as far as the kit i have heard mixwd things about RC most people are happy with it. i never had one. just make sure that it comes with everything u will need. i have a RE lift and love it. there pricey but i wouldnt go with anything else

Yea, I am going to try it out myself, I am thinking of going with this :http://www.carparts.com/autoparts/It...29497110609302
does that look decent, and that comes with everything needed or do I need to buy anything else?
