Newbie from the Jersey Shore
Greetings from Toms River, New Jersey! I am very excited to have found a great forum after being an xj owner for 6 years now. My 96 was my first car and I sold her two days ago. It has a 2 inch budget boost and 30 inch definity tires (the mods clearly show what my income was like). I loved that cherokee so much that I decided that instead of buying a new car, I'll use the money from my new job to build a new xj! I brought home a black 2001 with just over 100k miles last night and I cant wait to start building it up! Because it will be my daily driver for a while, I'm going to go with a conservative 3 inch lift and 31's and a few other fun mods (air intake, fog lamps, tow hitch/hooks, sound system etc.). I will be adding pictures over the next couple of months. Suggestions on lift kits and anything else will be greatly appreciated. Keep on Jeepin' on everybody!

thanks for the input. ive heard some people complain about the 3 inch and 31s setup because of the spacing between the tires and wheel wells. do you have many problems with the tires rubbing?

No problems, Initially on full lock would rub against the plastic inner arch bit at the rear of wheel arch,(if that makes sense) a pair of side cutters to trim off tiny bit of plastic, and now no rubbing.
I have the rough country kift, and purchased 8x15 D windows, these have zero off set, so 4" back space.
No spacers or anything.
