Default Newbi from New Jersey

Hello from South Jersey. I have had the XJ for about a year and I wish that somebody would have told me how expensive this little hobby was going to get. Originally bought it to get the family to the beach but I like it so much that it has become my daily driver.

Just looking for ideas and trying to learn as much as I can about my XJ. In the near future I'm looking to add control arm drop brackets, upgrade rear axle, upgrade steering and track bar, upgrade brakes (I really want an explorer 8.8 w/ rear discs), lockers, bilstein 5150s, and maybe throw on another 1" - 2" lift.

Ya think Santa might bring something?? I've been good.

Welcome to CF from Washington State.

They can get expensive but I have found that the parts I "want" for my XJ are a lot more expensive than the parts I "need" to keep her going. It's a VERY dependable rig.

I have been holding out for lockers. I've been REALLY good this year and I think that is what Sanata brought me...or else that heavy pakage under the tree might be coal or a boat anchor and I don't own a boat...LOL.
