New to this site and thanks for the welcome after I registered. I have owned a few jeeps 77 cherokee chief with Chevy 350 for power, 78 CJ7, 86 and 87 cherokee's a 97 TJ and now just picked up a 98 XJ with 100,567 on the clock for kicks. Just cant be without a jeep. I fixed a lot of little things so far this weekend and it seems like a real solid piece. The only glitch left is the spedo, tach quit working and the air bag light comes on occasionally. Sometimes the slap on the dash fixes it sometimes it fixes it's self. I never see the "no buss" described in the 99 XJ search help for this problem. Are the connectors on the back of the instrument cluster as much of a problem as I see written about on the 99XJ's. If all this info should be in two different topic fields I appologize

Welcome. It seems the speedometer not working is a common problem, mine stopped working after I pulled my dash loose to change my evap./heater core and my bros '92 cuts in and out.
