We'll I've been wanting to get a jeep for a while and I finally did it! Picked up a 91 xj 4.0 4x4 for what I thought was a pretty good deal. I picked up for $1,350 I put a picture of the cl ad at the bottom of the post. It has some issues that I'm found after I took it home like the gas gauge, oil pressure, and speedo don't work, horn doesn't work either. Steering wheel moves up and down like something is broke in the column, also there is something that is draining the hell out of the battery. If I don't unhook the battery after I drive it the next time I go out to start its dead. The other day I took it for a short drive and while I was on the highway it started to sputter like it was gonna stall out, so I let off the gas and it drove like normal, Did that like 3 times. Also the guy I got it from said it was having transfer case issues so he removed the driveshaft, really thinking about bolting up the shaft and going from there. It got a good amount of stuff on it already like metal bumpers, winch ( that needs some tlc), rock sliders, snorkel, 31" BFG A/T's, some aftermarket shocks, and lift spacers in the front. All in all I think it's a good project for me to start on. I would love to hear some feedback on some of the issues it's having,but I have been reading up on some of them in the forum.
