New XJ Owner in Michigan. The username? yeah, about that...
Hi everyone, I just bought my first Jeep (and my first non-GM vehicle) on March 31st. I'm already in love with it. 128,000 on the clock, so it's just barely broken in.
It's a 2000 Cherokee Sport. It came in on trade to the dealership I work at, and I fell for it at first sight. Almost spotless on the inside, very clean on the outside and mechanically sound (aside from an annoying heat shield rattle which i hear is very common).
It was going to end up on our lot for $8,100, but with my employee pricing, I got it for $4,500.
I'm pretty excited, I've always wanted one of these.
So... my username. Yeah, well, I'm also an Oldsmobile guy, and in order to get this Jeep, I had to part with this:
77 Olds Cutlass Supreme. She was my baby... but, all good things must come to an end. I don't have the time or money to restore the Cutlass, so it was time to let it go for someone else to love.
Hence the username. I'm terrible at coming up with usernames, so I'll just hang onto this one despite not having the Cutlass anymore
I hope to learn a lot from you guys! I don't plan on turning my XJ into a trail rig, but I would like to beef it up some.
