Default New XJ Owner

I've been a longtime Jeep owner, first time Cherokee owner as of this week.

I have been daily driving a 1995 YJ for about 10 years, and swapped a diesel engine into it somewhere in those ten years. With the aging body of the YJ, and crappy leaf spring suspension at all four corners, I decided to get rid of the YJ and replace it with an XJ.

The cummins diesel that is in the YJ will soon be within the XJ, and will continue to be my daily driver.

Here is the new Cherokee in my life:

Here is the diesel in the YJ that will be swapped into the XJ soon:

Look forward to many fun years in my XJ!

Thanks! It wasn't a bad deal for under $2k

Needs a little work here and there, think it needs rear brakes, a new steering stabilizer, and possibly a washer motor... Otherwise it's pretty nice.

Wow! Under $2K? I'm envious. That '97 XJ Sport looks just like our first one did - 15 years ago! Now I'm ashamed to post pictures of the one my son is reviving. Well, his big sister is the PO so I hope we get a pass...

Trearing into the jeeps this weekend with the intent to swap the AW4 with an AX15, and also the 4.0L engine with a diesel instead.
