Hello from Idaho. I scored a 2002 WJ Overland with 130,000 miles. Old owner said it burns oil. Turn out the Valve Seals were bad. My buddy and I thought that we could do this in frame. Got a adapter to add air through spark plug inlet so the valves wouldn't drop and picked up another tool for compressing the valve spring. This is when the fun began, not really. The retainer clips were almost impossible to remove and install. The magic trick was a magnet and spray adhesive. The magnet help us remove the clip, the spray mount was to spray on your finger, let it tack up, stick retainer clip to finger and close your eye while not breathing and using the force to magically reinstall clip while your buddy is keeping tension on the spring. All 32 clips were done this way. The seals pop in and out in less than a minute. The entire job went from 9am to 6pm. We also found that the spark plugs looked they had never been serviced. Next is shocks (Bilstein 4600) and Cooper AT3. I have a few other issues like a blown driver side tweeter. Trying to get cigarette smell out, it is not to bad but I can still smell it. In the photo of the motor, the top left is the spay mount, air compressor hose for spark plug and spring compressing tool on ratchet. Really cant make this stuff up. Hope you enjoyed it. We are laugh now, but cussed the entire time during the install.
