New WJ Here!
Howdy all! 2 weeks ago I bought a 2001 WJ Limited. I love it... and I hate it already. Should have done my due diligence by running a Carfax, but I was in need of four wheel drive and something that would accomodate my family a little better than a 1996 Chevy Prism in the snow.
Here she is; 4.7L, 545RFE, NV247, D44A, and oh... 167k miles.
Things I hate; blend doors bad(got into the HVAC box, screwed 'em in the heat position as it's freezing temps here), heater core clogged(I think I fixed that this afternoon by flushing it out), blue smoke out the tailpipe after idling for a while, coolant has oil in it(trans or motor, I'm not sure, probably from motor work done before I bought it, but flushed the system again today), rear axle is off center to the driver side by about 3/4"(bent a-arm maybe from previous owner accident), getting a P0740 torque converter clutch solenoid open circuit code, transmission shifts hard sometimes... randomly, and bad track bar(mega death wobble, eliminated everything else but the track bar).
Oh and my old 2000 XJ;
