Default New from TN

Hello... i am new here and new to jeeps. i just bought my first one today.
I got it to be a hunting/camping rig. she might not be the prettiest thing but it will serve its purpose. it runs strong and has zero leaks. which i was surprised to see. it shifts smooth and engaging 4 high and 4 low was as smooth as engaging 4 wheel drive gets. she has a 3 inch lift i dont know the brand i will try to find a tag on it tomorrow. and it has 33x 12.5 mud king tires that are new. i am happy with my purchase and think it will be a fine rec. vehicle.

Any rust? How many miles? We will definitely need to get a wheeling trip together with all the middle tn xjer's on here.

surprisingly no rust on the body, fenders, or floor. the only issue i have with rust is the top door hinge on the driver side. i will have to take it to my buddies house get it grinded down and put a new piece of metal there and tack the hinge to it. no big deal. but i was surprised the rockers are solid. but it is probably due to the bed liner paint job...

it has 176k on the clock but he said he blew the motor and got another one out of a junk yard with 128k a year ago. so who knows. i know it don't leak, runs strong, shifts smooth , engages four wheel hi/lo. and is what i was looking for.

this wasn't purchase to be a daily driver... it is just a hunting/camping toy. and hell for a grand i think i did good.

i would like to get together and wheel sometime i haven't gone in 5 years or so . i used to have a ford explorer on 33s, f250 on 35s, and a bronco II on 31s... see a pattern yet. lol i have always loved the xj because it always seemed like when i was stuck there was one around to go through the hole i just got out of. and normally it was smaller than me too.lol

It sounds like you got a good deal for sure

I was always surprised what my completely stock Cherokee on 205's would make it through.
