Default New from SoCal

Hey everybody. So I finally bought myself a Cherokee after about a year's worth of looking. Luck would have it that I would find it about 100 yards from my house, and on Christmas day... anyways she's a 2000 Sport 4.0 with 140K, and in pretty nice condition! Obviously it was a tow Jeep, but that tow bar's been sold for new parts already. This is actually my first vehicle, so I'm pretty excited to start working on it. I'll be taking it with me to the Mammoth Lakes area this Summer to do some trails. Can't wait! New from SoCal-h2zqpdj.jpg

I paid $5000 cash for it. A little pricey, but for what I got I'm happy.

Looks really clean. I also just bought a Red XJ and live in SoCal.

What are your plans for it?

For right now, I just want to get everything in good condition to go off road stock. In the future though I want to make it more of an Overland style rig that I can take on long trips. Probably a 3" lift, roof rack, etc. However I don't have any money so it'll be awhile. Wish I could have found one like yours with a lift already on it.

Well, it's a blessing and a curse at the same time with the lift already on it. I have Death Wobble and some other suspension issues that need addressing and I have no idea what Lift is actually on on Jeep which makes troubleshooting more difficult.

Good luck with your Jeep!

Oh, you win some you lose some, I guess. Thanks though, and good luck working those problems out.
