hello and thank you for letting me join your community. Just bought a Grand Cherokee Laredo with the trail package. Looking to get it fully trail ready and see what it can do. Looking to go out with other people and make some new friends. Any advice for mods or upgrades I am all ears.

Hi Jeagle,
I don't have a Jeep yet but I'm in San Diego. I am planning on getting a Jeep within the year so hopefully I'll be wheeling when it starts cooling down in the fall or winter. May I suggest going out to the Cleveland National Forest if you haven't already been out there. There are some pretty good fire roads and OHV trails out there. If you go east on I-8 to Buckman Springs Rd and go south a couple miles you'll get to Morena Stokes Valley Road or a sign that says Four Corners or Corral Canyon. Down that road you can access some good trails and you can also drive up the the Los Pinos fire lookout tower. Also up on Laguna Mountain there are some scenic fire roads. They're just dirt road, really, that you could even drive a car down but they access some pretty country and good hiking trails. I'm pretty familiar with the area and when I get a rig I'd like to go on some more technical terrain but these spots are always fun. Happy exploring.

Let me know when you get your rig and we can head out. I have done tons of hiking out there on the PCT but never driven around. We did Mother Grundy last week to get our cherry popped.

Yeah, the PCT. North on Kitchen Creek Rd you can drive right up to the PCT. Up that same road, at Cibbets Flat campground, has a pretty good road. I think it's called Fred Canyon Rd. Stay to the right when you go in the campground and it ties in with Thing Valley Road. I'll look you up when I get one.

If you ever just want to ride let me know and we can tackle some stuff. I am just trying to find a good group which seems hard to do when every Jeep club is really a wrangler club.
