Hi,

Been meaning to pick up a xj for awhile and finally found one within my tiny budget. It's a 94 4x4 5 speed has a crap ton of miles 470,xxx but has had the engine replaced ("new" engine has 233,xxx).

Has some of the typical cherokee problems like oily valve cover (probably gasket/breathers?), needs new suspension badly drives like an impala with hydraulics lol, probably needs new bushings and rear diff mount, temperature gauge doesn't work.

Other than that, should be good for my drive every once in awhile beater/project 4x4. I paid 1000 bucks and I'm sure I could of got it cheaper if I was more patient but 5 speeds are hard to find(at least for me).

Other than the items I stated, anything else I should look for to replace for a daily beater?

Anyone local to Eugene/Springfield that wants to become mechanic/beer buddies please pm me or post haha.
