Default New Owner 99 XJ Calssic

Hi all, new here to the forum, Wife has a 2011 WK2 jeep and I have a 2012 R/T Challenger, newest addition is the 99 XJ Classic that I picked up for $600 here locally in PA with 170k miles on the clock. So far the few things I need to address are the rockers which are rusted out, the car doesnt stop very well, and quite a bit of suspension clunking. Goals for the car are to make it my winter beater, 2-4" lift and more aggressive tires. Thank you all for having me here

Welcome. Check the floors and hatch area for rust to, because if the rockers are shot they are too more than likely if they haven't been repaired already. XJs make great Winter beaters.

Surprisingly the floors and hatch survived somehow, thanks for the heads up though!

I love my 2 inch lift. Adds more than 2 inches. Don't have to do a transfer case drop or change the driveshaft. Welcome to the forum!
