Hey, I'm Kevin from WV and recently traded up for a 1997 Cherokee.
The previous owner was considering junking it so I had to save it. Pulled it out of a field where it had sat for a couple years, only being moved around about once a month.
So far I've done the basics. All fluids and filters, including brake fluid since I changed out both brake hoses on the front and the rear along with about 3 feet of hard line. New calipers and brakes on the front, cleaned up and adjusted rears with new hardware and one park brake cable. New axle joints both sides, ball joints both sides, track bar and shocks all around. Few other minor things like a couple light bulbs, a headlight and cleaned out the signal switch (no turn signals).
Other than that, I've put in power seats from a GC, and the wheels and tires are off the Mazda. They looked better and the tires were fairly new.
Also changed the plugs, wires, and put in a new dizzy because I broke and ear off taking the cap off. It was worn, and it was $50 for a new one so why not.
Plan some upgrades in the future but I'm undecided on lift amount and if I'll buy a complete kit or homebrew it. Probably do some TJ flares and I'd like to upgrade the headlights to a capsule type bulb. Suggestions on t
