I am looking at getting an 89' Cherokee 2 door tomorrow morning, will post more info and pics then! I wanted to join so that I may be a part of an info sharing community. Forums are a great thing!

Here it is! 1988 (I was wrong about the year) Jeep Cherokee. Tan leather interior, 88k miles, American Racing wheels, and a new spare that never touched the pavement. I had to replace the coil wire, rats got to it! It sat in a field for over a year. After I vacuumed the jeep out, about 2 large rats crawled out of my shopvac. Paid 500 for the thing! One of the smokinest deals I ever did see.

See! This is why I joined this place. I really appreciate it, man. Is there a number tag on the axle tube or diff pumpkin that will let me know? My owner's manual was used as fodder for a rat's nest. I am going to order a Hayne's for it tomorrow. Now that I think of it, there is a sticker on the visor that has some guidelines for towing. I have no receiver hitch though? Does the 44 have a locking diff?
