Hi, as you can see I am new to this site. I have been a Jeep owner since 2001.
that Jeep had 435000 miles when I sold it. I bought another 96 Jeep Grand Cherokee and am having some electrical issues. The other morning I started the vehicle from outside the vehicle and then went to drop something somewhere when I returned to the vehicle there was smoke coming from under my dash. I reached my hand under the dash just to the left of the steering column, there I accidentally dislodged a lamp cover exposing a lamp that appeared to be burning too brightly. I removed the lamp and there was no additional smoking going on...I am not sure the smoke was coming from the lamp. I now have no on board display. Thanks

How does your fuse block look? seems like you got some crossed circuits or grounding issues.
