Just saying hello, I just registered with the group. I have a 99 XJ I am chiefly trying to make a decision on whether or not to lift my Cherokee or buy one already lifted. I will post about that in the appropriate forum.

welcome
the best part about lifting one yourself, you not only get the fun of doing it yourself, but you can buy the parts that best suit your needs, and not buy someone elses mistake.
i did however buy my first driveable jeep (xj) with a lift already in it, but it did happen to be a freshly installed rubicon express 5.5 inch complete kit, so i saved a lot of time, but didn't learn as i went along, until i removed it for the long arm lift. still have a few original parts in it.
