I've been lurking and learning for a while now, thought I would make an actual introduction today. I broke 100,000 miles as I pulled in the drive last night.

My name is Justin, from Southern KY. Work as a GIS/Mapping tech at the local water company. I have been in the Volunteer fire service for 5 years and have moved up to the rank of Lieutenant. We average about 450-500 runs per year.

Moving up to LT is what made me want a XJ. I wanted something dependable that I could put my gear in since I drive to the scene. An XJ is what I decided on. After looking for a couple of months I found the following.

Stock steel wheels
98,4XX miles, wreck/rebuilt

So far I have done a few small things, general maintenance, O2 sensor, and Clear bumper and side markers.

My thoughts are to Paint factory rims or buy something different.
Not sure if I want to lift, Jeep is a DD.
Tinted windows after I replace the windshield.
H4 and harness upgrade next...

Welcome drew. You made a good choice going with the XJ, and you have found one of the very best forums on the interwebz. Where exactly in KY are you located? I'm in Adair county, near Green River Lake.
