Hello! Just picked this unit up. Super stoked to get into it and make it a reliable daily/surf trip camping maching/weekend wheeler

89 cherokee, auto, 4L, 33x12.5s on what i think is 15x10's. Rough country 4.5in lift, lift blocks in the rear coils up front, "xtreme" shocks up front, assuming same on rear.

Runs really well but the rad got hit back into the fan so its leaking, just ordered up all the parts to replace it with the later open style setup and GDI 3 core rad. Doing waterpump and thermostat as well. Needs u-joints in the rear which are also on the way. Notice a few small issues, one being the lift blocks (which i specifically asked about before getting and was told there were no blocks, and of course i didnt look when i got it..), the muffler is rubbing on the driveshaft and the exhaust also melted the dust cover on the rear shock.

soo plan is to get some new shocks all around, looking at the bilstein 5150's, get a new leaf setup for the rear to ditch the blocks, fix the known issue then drive the hell out of it!

some crappy pics from when she came home

Can anyone tell me if that tow setup is the factory one? Pulling the rear diff cover off to see what gears it has, and will be upgrading those soon to if needed. was told it had "some gears" but was also told some other things im finding are not true...

Welcome to CF from Buck in western Washington state.

Nice looking rig. You don't have to pull the cover to figure out axle gears, unless you want to change fluid at the same time, which is always a good idea when buying a used XJ that is already all Jacked like yours is.
