new to jeeps from east texas
Hey fellas..
Coming over here from the GM side..
This is my first jeep.. and my wifes second..
its a 96 cherokee sport 4x2 4.0, 99,000 miles...
I will try to get some pics up here soon.. I have only had it for a day now..
already noticing some leaks.. worn components... I have a lot of work to do.. look forward to researching the repairs and discussing and learning about jeeps...
so far I have noticed...
rear main leak
valve cover leak
oil pan leak
oil filter adapter leak (YAY already researched this one!!)
rear transmission seal leak
rear diff cover leak
temperature is doing some funky things...
voltage guage not reading acurate..
sticky door locks
sticky door latches
slow/sticky window motors
slow wiper motor
worn shocks
worn steering, tie rods, and ball joints
worn sway bar links
after alot of searching.. most of this seems common place
i hope shes happy... (wife)
I am far from a newb as a mechanic... but I have never turned a wrench on a jeep before so this will be interesting...
