Default New to Jeep - - *Updated with Pictures*

Hello from Ottawa

I've been lurking, and have recently started seriously looking for a Jeep Cherokee. Always wanted one since I was a kid and the opening of "The Goonies".

Anyway thought I would pop in, register and say hello. Ill post some pictures of my Jeep once I get it here!

In the meantime I am reading what to look out for, so should help me bring a nice one home.

Default That didn't take long

Hey again, with some pictures.

I just got my Jeep home. I've been watching closely only for about a week now, and today I went and saw (and bought) my first Jeep.

1999 Cherokee sport - 138,XXX km (86250 miles for those south of the border) original owner, for $1800 CAD (~$1450 USD).

CEL light is on - Owner said its the Nuetral safety switch. I let someone borrow my code reader, so I cant confirm just yet. Not too worried about it, its driving great.

Am told the front U-Joints need to be replaced. Would this cause a bit of a wabble at highway? Will replace these, and axle seals at the same time i think.

Small rust hole through driver floor. Will cut out and patch. There are small rust bubbles coming up in a few places, you can see in the pictures. Will need to take care of these asap.

"Grizzly" decal is confusing me. Any ideas?

Good from far?

Very clean, I assume the grizzly is a Canadian thing maybe.
